2007 Sexual Assault

In 2007, Wilborn entered a sex store, asked a worker for sex, asked the worker to expose her breasts, rubbed her thighs, and fondled himself.[1]

Wilborn's POST certification was suspended from 2008 until 2010 and he was given 24 months of probation.[1]

2019 Sexual Assault

On September 26, 2019, Wilborn was on duty when he kept a car from leaving a park. Wilborn took the driver from the vehicle and ordered him to the ground. Wilborn ordered a woman to get out of the vehicle and raped her at gunpoint.[1][2][3]

The woman reported the assault when she got home.[2]

Wilborn claimed that the incident had been consensual. Investigators determined that Wilborn had raped the woman.[2]

On June 3, 2022, Wilborn pleaded guilty to rape, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, sexual contact by a police officer, possessing a firearm while committing a felony, and five counts of violating his oath of office. Wilborn was sentenced to 25 years in prison without parole, and probation for life. Wilborn must register as a sex offender.[2]
