2015 East Fort Myers Rotary Officer of the Month
In January 2015, Roberts and Officer Bobby Kerbs were selected as the East Fort Myers Rotary Officers of the Month. The officers were honored for their teamwork and investigative skills while working a case with their Federal counterparts.[3]
2016 Recognitions from the Fort Myers Police Foundation
On January 23, 2016, Roberts received several recognitions from the Fort Myers Police Foundation, including the Distinguished Volunteer Cross Ribbon, the Honorable Service Ribbon, the Good Conduct Ribbon, and the Educational Achievement Ribbon.[4]
2018 Life Saving Medal
In 2018, Roberts received the Life Saving Medal from the Fort Myers Police Foundation.[5]
Incident Reports
2020 Timesheet Audit
In 2020, an internal audit showed inconsistencies with the hours that Roberts recorded when compared to the hours that she actually worked from 2018 through 2020.[6] A detailed investigation found dozens of incidents, including entire shifts that she was paid for but never worked.[1]
Response Timeline
On January 4, 2021, a department investigator recommended that Roberts be fired.[1]
On April 14, 2021, Police Chief Derrick Diggs imposed a fine and suspension.[1]
2021 Inappropriate Relationship
On August 23, 2021, Roberts provided "inconsistent and unclear" statements regarding Officer Jason Jackson and his personal involvement with confidential informants.[7]
On December 9, 2021, Roberts denied having a relationship with an informant.[7]
On February 15, 2022, new photographic and video evidence was obtained by the department, showing that Roberts had lied during her prior interview.[7]

On March 4, 2022, Roberts was fired for untruthfulness, failing to meet a standard of conduct, and unprofessionalism for having an "inappropriate and personal" relationship with a confidential informant.[1][7]
