Incident Reports

2022 False Report

On March 30, 2022, Sacino was ordered to conduct "proactive initiatives" by enforcing traffic laws in a specific area. At the end of Sacino's shift, his supervisor asked for statistics and case numbers for his activities. Sacino claimed to have made one traffic stop and gave a warning to the driver.[1]

Sacino later drove to a parking lot, picked a random vehicle, and ran their license plate. Sacino reported that he had received information that the vehicle's owner was involved in drug activity.[1]

Response Timeline

The department reviewed the deputy's body-worm camera, in-car camera, and other information to determine that Sacino had not made a traffic stop as he initially claimed. When confronted, Sacino admitted that he had lied.[1][2]

On June 28, 2022, Sacino was fired.[1]
