Hale was accused of assaulting three children ranging in age from 8 to 11 between January 2002 and December 2005 at a house.
The crimes occurred before Hale was employed as a police officer.
In November 2020, Hale was placed on administrative leave after the offenses came to light.
On November 3, 2021, the department announced that Hale had been fired.
Hale was originally charged with two counts of first-degree sodomy or attempted sodomy and one count of sexual misconduct or attempt involving a child less than 15.
On November 2, 2021, Hale pleaded guilty to two second-degree felonies.
