2017-2020 Sexual Assaults
Between March 2017 and June 2020, Golobic forced two immigrating women under his supervision to engage in non-consensual sex with him.[3][1]
In June 2020, Golobic was contacted by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. After being contacted, Golobic deleted evidence from his phone.[1]

On December 7, 2022, Golobic was indicted by a jury and charged with sex trafficking by means of force, fraud or coercion, depriving individuals of their civil rights while acting under color of law, tampering with witnesses, and obstructing a federal investigation.[4][5]
On January 25, 2024, a federal jury convicted Golobic of obstructing a sex trafficking operation, deprivation of rights under color of law, witness tampering, and destruction of records in a federal investigation.[1][6]
