Incident Reports
2021 Vehicle Accident Investigation
On September 2, 2021, Borovac responded to the scene of a vehicle accident. One of the drivers was 17 years old, and had already called his father, who was nearby. The father recorded the interaction on his cell phone, which he posted to YouTube.[1]
Borovac and the father had an exchange about which tow truck might be able to remove the vehicle. Borovac seemed to approach the father, then commanded him several times to "back off three feet", and then appeared to push the father.[1]
After the driver provided his license, Borovac asked the minor driver, "What happened?". When the father told his son not to answer, Borovac said, "By law, he has to [answer questions]".[1]
Later in the conversation, Borovac said, "I am a law enforcement [officer] and you have to obey my orders".[1]
Borovac had a body-worn camera, which he said was operational. The department has refused to release the video.[1]
On November 17, 2021, the father's video was reviewed by the LackLuster channel.[3]
