2022 Child Abuse

Austin Moates

On May 9, 2022, Moates received a call that two children were involved in a bullying incident at school. Moates brought the children home and talked with the mother. Moates "spanked them with his hand" for their behavior. Moates ordered one child to go to their room, but they refused. Moates grabbed the child by the neck and forced the child upstairs.^[1]

Moates later took the children to a park, where another person commented about marks on the child's neck. Moates said the child "must have done it to herself".^[1]
