2011 Public Intoxication
On March 6, 2011, Innes' truck struck a landscape retaining wall. Innes ran off when security guards approached, and fell into a drainage ditch before attempting to walk away.[3]
Responding officers found Innes, who was highly intoxicated, smelling of alcohol, and slurring his speech.[3]

In a statement to investigators, Innes wrote, "I love being a police officer for Dallas and if I am allowed to remain on the department, this will never happen again."[1]
Innes was charged with public intoxication. He was not charged with DWI because he had not been seen driving the vehicle.[1]
Innes was convicted of public intoxication, a Class C misdemeanor, which was punishable by a fine.[1]
2021 DWI
On December 14, 2021, police were dispatched to a report of a drunk driver. Officers stopped Innes.[1]
