2021 Sexual Assault Investigation
In March 2021, Officer O'Quinn took a statement from a woman who said that she had been sexually assaulted. In a later complaint, O'Quinn was described as "rude and acted like he didn’t believe her". O'Quinn also didn't relay important details to the on-call Sex Crimes detective, didn’t contact the Crime Scene Unit, and didn't ensure the scene was secured and evidence was collected.[2]
Response Timeline
In August 2021, O'Quinn was suspended for 20 days for violation of rules. The suspension ended on September 19, 2021.[2]
