2022 DUI

On August 26, 2022, Lopez was off-duty when he crashed his patrol vehicle. The vehicle was found abandoned, and responding officers conducted a search for Lopez, who was found at his home about a mile away.[2]

It was reported that another off-duty deputy drove Lopez home after the crash.[2]

Deputy Gregory Davis pulled Lopez from the vehicle and arranged for him to be driven home.[3]
