2019 Death of Ronald Greene
On March 4, 2022, the department launched an internal investigation into the sanitization of Cain's cell phone.
In April 2022, Cain was placed on paid leave during the investigation around his cell phone.
On April 11, 2022, the State Inspector General's office took over the investigation into the erasing of cell phones.
On June 17, 2022, Cain announced his retirement.
