2019 Vehicle Theft
On October 25, 2019, Calleros visited a car dealership and asked the sales person to retrieve some information on a vehicle. While the sales person was away, Calleros stole the vehicle.[2]
The theft was recorded by the dealership's surveillance cameras.[3]
An anonymous tip led to Calleros.[2]
Response Timeline
On November 9, 2020, Calleros was arrested. The vehicle was in the department's parking lot.[2]
In Feburary 2021, Calleros was relieved of his police powers.[2]
On June 2, 2022, Calleros pleaded guilty to car theft, forgery of registration or license plates, and false personation, all felonies, and three misdemeanor counts. Calleros was sentenced to six months in jail.[2]
