2021 DWI Arrest
On October 4, 2021, the Wayne County New York Sheriff's Office responded to find Kovacic partially blocking the westbound lane of traffic while asleep at the wheel. Deputies say that Kovacic was intoxicated by alcohol. Kovacic refused to provide a breath sample.[5]

Kovacic was placed on administrative duty.[2]
Legal Action
Kovacic was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving to the left of pavement markings, and Stopping, standing, or parking outside of business or residence districts.[2]
