2022 Death of John Farally
On August 17, 2022, Strini was off-duty when he rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped at a red light.[2]
The investigating officer saw no evidence to suggest that Strini was impaired and did not test his breath or blood.[2]
On August 18, 2022, Farally, the driver of the other vehicle, died at the hospital.[3]

The department opened an investigation.[2]
On August 24, 2022, Strini returned to active duty.[2]
