Response Timeline
Redmond was placed on unpaid administrative leave.[2]
An internal investigation determined that Redmond had used excessive force. The incident was forwarded to the local prosecutor for criminal charges.[2]
Redmond was charged with misdemeanor assault[2] and faces up to 93 days imprisonment or a small fine.[3]
In June 2023, the charges against Redmond were dropped. Redmond returned to active duty.[4]
