2018 Death of Quinntin Castro

On December 9, 2018, Bradley attempted to stop Castro, who fled. Bradley pursued, and was joined by Sergeant Ryan Garcia and officers Andy Garcia and Edward Puente. Castro crashed, with his vehicle become stuck in mud. As Castro tried to drive away, Sergeant Garcia broke the driver's window and threatened to deploy a K9. Officer Garcia deployed his K9 through the window, and Castro shot the K9 and Officer Garcia. Sergeant Garcia and Bradley fired at the vehicle, striking Castro and a passenger.[2]

Castro and the K9 died. The passenger was permanently disabled, and Officer Garcia's injuries ended his career.[2]
