2018 Death of John Albers
On January 20, 2018, a friend called police to check on the 17-year-old Albers, who they thought might be intoxicated and suicidal. After officers arrived, a car exited from the garage, towards officers. Jenison shot, striking Albers.[3]
The incident was captured on dashcam video[1][4] and on a neighbor's surveillance camera.[5] The department did not have body-worn cameras at the time of the incident.[6]
