2020 Traffic Stop

On February 25, 20200, officers attempted to stop a vehicle. One occupant ran before he surrendered to officers and complied with commands. One officer Tased the man, and McInnes kicked the man in the ribs.[1]

2022 Traffic Stop

On February 14, 2022, McInnes responded to a call. McInnes approached an involved man, pointed his Taser, and told the man to get on the ground. The man knelt down, and McInnes kicked him in the back, forcing him to the ground.[1]

On October 18, 2024, a jury found McInnes guilty of attempted felonious assault, three counts of assault, three counts of interfering with civil rights, and three counts of dereliction of duty.[1]

McInnes was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison and must surrender his certification.[1]
