On October 8, 2022, an officer stopped Hebert for driving his vehicle on the sidewalk. Hebert admitted to drinking and had a 0.118 BAC.[1]

Response Timeline

On October 8, 2022, Hebert was arrested for DUI and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.[4]

Hebert was placed on administrative leave.[4]

Hebert was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (second offense), improper driving on a laned roadway, and driving on a sidewalk.[3][1]

On February 23, 2023, Hebert pleaded no contest and was found guilty of driving under the influence. The other charges were dismissed.[3]

On March 23, 2023, Hebert was sentenced to 2 days in jail, 3 days of house arrest, and a year of probation.[3]

On August 15, 2023, the Kansas Commission on Peace Officers' Standards and Training (POST) revoked Hebert's certification for criminal conduct and a lack of good moral character.[1]
