2024 Falsification of Records
In April 2024, Uvalle sent an email to the Oakland Florida Police Department, stating that former officer Barry Strykowski had no open cases or disciplinary actions against him. OPD hired and later promoted Strykowski before learning that Strykowski had been under investigation in Mount Dora and had resigned as part of a disciplinary action.[2]
