Response Timeline
On June 22, 2022, Arredondo was placed on leave.[7]
On August 24, 2022, Arredondo was fired.[6] The firing was reported to Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), which classifies the firing as dishonorable, general, or honorable.[8]
In September 2022, Arredondo appealed his TCOLE status.[8]
In January 2023, Arredondo's TCOLE status was upgraded in a default judgment, meaning the UCISD did not contest the change.[8]
A grand jury indicted Arredondo and Gonzales.[6][9]
On June 27, 2024, Arredondo was arrested and charged with 10 counts of child endangerment.[6]
