Overview

As part of another investigation[1], text messages were discovered showing several Antioch California Police Department and Pittsburg California Police Department officers were voiding the traffic citations of their friends and took bribes in doing so.[2]

On August 18, 2023, the officers were charged with Conspiracy to Commit an Act Injurious to the Public and Accepting a Bribe, both felonies.[2]

On December 21, 2023, Williams pleaded no contest to state charges of felony conspiracy to commit an act injurious to the public and misdemeanor altering evidence. Williams faces up to three years and four months in prison.[3]
