Incident Reports
2025 Death of Danny Palomino
On May 17, 2025, several people called police to report a man blocking traffic. One person reported that the man pointed a gun at them. Jackson and other officers responded and located Palomino, who was in a wheelchair. Palomino ignored Jackson's commands, and turned away before turning back and pointing a handgun at Jackson. Jackson fired, striking Palomino.[4]
Palomino died at the hospital.[3]
The incident was captured on Jackson's body-worn camera, an in-vehicle camera, and a bystander's cell phone camera.[3]
