2016 Arrest of Robert Banks
On January 15, 2016, Deputies Adams and Layrisson were investigating a stolen vehicle. Banks claims that the deputies knocked on his door, pulled him from his doorway, and dragged him down the steps into the grass.[1]
Banks was issued a summons for theft. The charges were dropped when it turned out that someone had replaced the license plate on Banks' truck with a stolen one.[1]

Banks filed a lawsuit against the deputies, claiming use of excessive force.[1]
2017 Arrest of Ryan Jackson
Department Response
An internal investigation by the Sheriff’s Office cleared the officers of any wrongdoing.[2]
