2022 Pursuit

On January 6, 2022, Sanchez attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The vehicle fled, and Sanchez pursued. Sanchez did not notify the police dispatcher at the beginning of the chase, nor did he discontinue the pursuit after being told to do so.[2]

During the pursuit, Sanchez drove over 100 MPH, drove off road, and ran red lights.[2]

2022 Pursuit

On January 22, 2022, Sanchez attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The vehicle fled, and led Sanchez and Officer Holvin Perez on a chase. Sanchez notified the police dispatcher over two minutes after the start of the chase.[2]

During the pursuit, Sanchez disregarded several stop signs, and drove in the incorrect lane.[2]

Sanchez's report stated that he had not violated any traffic laws during the pursuit.[2]

Response Timeline

In June 2022, Sanchez was suspended for a total of 30 days for the two incidents.[2]

By mid-August 2022, Sanchez had served the entire suspension.[2]
