On October 7, 2022, UCISD PD suspended Gonzales and other officers.[3]
On January 1, 2023, Gonzales left the agency.[2]
A grand jury indicted Gonzales.[4][5]
Gonzales was arrested and charged with 29 counts of abandoning/endangering a child.[6]
On July 25, 2024, Gonzales pleaded not guilty.[7]
On January 21, 2026, a jury found Gonzales not guilty on all counts.[8]
