2021 Excessive Force Arrest
In January 2021, Bustamante struck a man in the head with his service weapon and his hands, without legal justification.
On February 14, 2023, Bustamante pleaded guilty to one felony count of deprivation of rights under color of law. At sentencing, Bustamante faces a up to 10 years in prison and three years of supervised release.
