2022 Arrest of Lazaro Gonzalez
On February 11, 2022, Baez was working at an elementary school during the morning drop-off time. Gonzalez and another parent were having a "calm" conversation about their children, who had each accused the other of bullying. Baez approached Gonzalez with his gun drawn while students were present. Part of the incident was captured on cellphone video.[2]
Gonzalez was arrested for resisting without violence and disorderly conduct for refusing to provide his personal information. After a month in jail, prosecutors asked the courts to release him.[2]
