2021 Disorderly Conduct
On December 18, 2021, Curry and Deputy Trevor Pike were off-duty and got into an argument with two other men. Police officers said they witnessed Pike punch one man in the face while Curry pushed him, causing the man to fall and strike his head. The injured man was flown by helicopter to a hospital.[1]
Video of the event was captured on a witness's cell phone.[2]
Response Timeline
Curry was suspended without pay.[1]
Curry was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.[1]
On December 22, 2021, the department reinstated Curry to duty.[2]
