2015-2023 Sexual Assaults
Between approximately 2015 and 2023, Ramos-Aviles molested three minors. The latest victim is 6 years old. When that victim made the accusations, two teenagers reported that they were abused at around the same age. The victims include Ramos-Aviles' stepdaughter, niece, and child.[4][3]
Ramos-Aviles' wife reported him to the police.[5]
Response Timeline
On October 31, 2023, Ramos-Aviles was charged with three counts of sexual battery on a minor, two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child less than 12 years of age, and two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition on a child under 16 years of age.[5][6] Ramos-Aviles faces up to life in prison.[7]
Ramos-Aviles was relieved of duty with pay.[3]
