2022 Operating While Intoxicated

On November 20, 2022, Rutoskey crashed his police car into another vehicle. Minutes later, the police car crashed into a concrete barrier and Rutoskey fled on foot.[1]

Rutoskey was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated - endangering a person, operating a vehicle with alcohol concentration equivalent to .15 or more, leaving the scene of an accident, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, all misdemeanors.[2]

A blood test showed Rutoskey's blood alcohol level was .164.[1]

Response Timeline

Rutoskey pleaded guilty to operating a vehicle while endangering a person.[1]

Rutoskey was sentenced to probation.[1] ‎
