2022 DWI Arrest
On July 1, 2022, a San Antonio Texas Police Department officer saw Garza going 80 mph in a 60 mph zone while failing to maintain a single lane and changing lanes improperly. The officer turned on his emergency lights but Garza did not stop. The officer turned off his lights, followed Garza, and requested a helicopter to track the vehicle.
Garza was seen running a red light before he stopped. Garza refused a sobriety test and a breath test.
On July 1, 2022, Garza was arrested for DWI and evading arrest.
The department started the process to fire Garza.
In October 2022, Garza was sentenced to one year of community service for obstructing a highway. The charge of evading was dismissed.
