2021 Menacing

In July 2021, prosecutors say Redmon grabbed a woman by the back of the neck while in a restaurant.[1]

In August 2021, prosecutors say Redmon forced the woman into a bathroom in her home and brandished what appeared to be a pistol while threatening her.[1]

Both events occurred while Redmon was off duty.[1]

Response Timeline

Redmon was suspended without pay.[1]

On November 5, 2021, Redmon was arraigned on one count of menacing in the second degree and two counts of harassment in the second degree.[2]

On May 24, 2022, the state Division of Criminal Justice Services decertified Redmon following a hearing.[3][4]
