On November 23, 2022, a grand jury charged Gould with criminally negligent homicide and reckless endangerment.[4]
On November 23, 2022, Gould was fired.[1]
On November 16, 2023, Gould pleaded guilty to counts regarding duty to report use of force by peace officers and duty to intervene. Gould was sentenced to two years of unsupervised probation and was ordered to surrender his POST certification.[5]
