2020 Child Seduction
In September 2020, the Indiana State Police received information that Lutgring had seduced a female under the age of 18.[2]

Lutgring resigned.[2]
On December 18, 2020, Lutgring was charged with child seduction and public indecency.[3][2]
Lutgring pleaded guilty to public indecency and was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation.[2]
On July 15, 2023, the County Prosecutor stated that the female was above the age of consent and that Lutgring had not used his position to convince her to engage in the acts.[4]
