2023 DUI

On August 25, 2023, Rodriguez was sworn in as an officer with the department. He was scheduled for his first shift two days later.[1]

On August 26, 2023, Rodriguez crashed his car into multiple parked cars. Rodriguez admitted to responding officers that he had been drinking and that he was intoxicated. Rodriguez put his hands behind his back in preparation for being handcuffed and said, "Let's go".[1]

Rodriguez was charged with DUI.[1]

On August 26, 2023, Rodriguez was fired.[1]

On December 14, 2023, Rodriguez pleaded guilty and was sentenced to four days of home incarceration. Rodriguez's driver's license was suspended for 6 months, and he must attended an alcohol education program and pay restitution for damages.[2]
