2021 Shooting of Rodregus Fuqua
In October 28, 2021, Hill was off-duty, working a security job at a bar. Initial reports were that Hill saw Fugua in an argument before retrieving a handgun from a vehicle. Hill confronted Fugua, who fired at him. Hill returned fire, striking Fugua. [2]
Fugua claimed that he was initially assaulted in the bar, and that the shooting was self defense.[3]

2023 Kidnapping and Assault of Charles Garmon
Response Timeline
On July 18, 2023, Hill was arrested and charged with with second-degree kidnapping.[4]
On November 3, 2023, Garmon filed a lawsuit against Davis, Hill, and the city.[5]
On July 9, 2024, David and Hill were indicted on one count of conspiracy to intimidate Garmon in the free exercise and enjoyment of his right to be free from unreasonable seizure and deprivation of rights under color of law. Davis was also indicted on one count of engaging in misleading conduct with the intent to hinder, delay, and prevent the communication of information relating to the possible commission of a federal offense and one count of altering records in a federal investigation. Hill was also indicted on one count of lying to the FBI. The officers face up to life in prison.[6]
