In June 2020, Perri resigned to start his own towing company.[3]
On October 1, 2021, Perri was indicted on one count of conspiracy to violate the Travel Act and one count of using interstate facilities to commit bribery.[4]
On November 15, 2022, Perri pleaded guilty. He faces up to five years in prison and will forfeit over $150,000.[3]
