2022 Domestic Violence Arrest
On July 25, 2022, Avila struck a woman several times and threatened her with a gun. The woman called police from a neighbor's house.[1]
Avila left the house and was stopped by Atascosa County Sheriff's Office deputies while driving the wrong direction on a highway. Bexar County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the scene.[1]
Response Timeline
On July 25, 2022, Avila was arrested and charged with first-degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-family violence.[1]
In September 2022, Avila was fired.[2]
