2015 Death of Mohamed Ibrahim

On September 6, 2015, officers were called about several incidents, including a purse snatching, a purse being stolen from a vehicle, and a man selling drugs. The suspect's vehicle was similar in all three incidents. Officers located the vehicle and Ibrahim, who fired a shot at officers and drove away. Officers called off the pursuit due to the high speeds involved.[5]

Later in the day, officers located the vehicle. Ibrahim refused to stop and fled at high speeds before crashing. Ibrahim exited his vehicle and pointed a gun at officers. Several Shreveport officers, including Kenneth Thompson, Raymond Blunt, and McConnell fired, striking Ibrahim.[5]

Ibrahim died at the scene.[6]
