On July 30, 2019, Police Chief Rick St. John retired, after two and a half years as chief.[1]
Less than a month later, St. John was hired through an outside contracting company into the newly-created position of deputy city manager over public safety.[2][3]
St. John could draw up to $192,000 in salary and more than $100,000 from his pension.[2]
