2021 Domestic Battery
On September 26, 2021, a 911 call was received by the Sheriff's Office. Responding deputies found that Blackwell had been involved in a physical altercation. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation was called to handle the investigation.[1]
Response Timeline
On September 27, 2021, Blackwell was arrested for aggravated domestic battery.[2]
On December 16, 2022, Blackwell was found guilty of misdemeanor domestic battery.[3]
On January 26, 2023, the Kansas Commission on Peace Officers' Standards and Training (POST) revoked Blackwell's law enforcement certification.[3]
