2019 Shooting of Jorge Ramirez-Madrigal and Andy Ramirez-Madrigal
On June 18, 2019, deputies attempted to stop a stolen vehicle containing brothers Jorge Ramirez-Madrigal and Andy Ramirez-Madrigal. The driver did not yield, and crashed the vehicle while attempting to avoid spike strips. The passenger exited the vehicle and began shooting at responding officers. Deputies Timothy Cho, Richard Jaramilla, Quoia Griffin, Miranda Carvalho, Jose Ramirez, Goldburn Myvett, and Ramy Khaddage returned fire.[3]
Both men were treated for gunshot wounds before being taken to jail.[3]
