Policy Changes
2024
On April 11, 2024, the California Attorney General announced an agreement with the Vallejo Police Department that outlined a set of desired reforms. The prior agreement had expired, with the department reaching 20 of 45 recommendations.[3]
2023
In July 2023, the department updated its policy to ban shooting at or from a moving vehicle under most circumstances.[4]
2020
The California Attorney General and the Vallejo Police Department had a memorandum of understanding that outlined 45 recommended reforms.[3]
