Body Camera Policy
In 2023, the county considered a one cent real estate tax to fund camera. The increase was voted down.[3]
In December 2023, the Augusta County Board of Supervisors rejected the idea of applying for grants to fund cameras.[3]
In 2024, the department started a 60-day trial of body-worn cameras for 6 deputies.[3]
